At this time Airstrike Ag is preparing a formal request for Conditional Approval of foreign-produced agricultural UAS and critical components during a time-bound transition toward U.S. manufacturing, under applicable federal law. In addition, Airstrike Ag has been provided a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) from XAG outlining a proposed framework for regulatory cooperation and localization. Airstrike Ag’s plan is to gradually begin manufacturing components based on the value and tech requirements set forth by the administration, with full compliance by 2028.

We continue to work closely with policymakers, industry partners, and XAG to pursue practical solutions that protect national security while ensuring farmers have access to the technology they rely on.
We have spent more than two years preparing for regulatory changes, including moving U.S. flight and operational data to secure U.S.-based servers. All relevant code, drone data collection, code fixes and updates, debugging, and user acceptance testing are all hosted in the USA, on USA hosted servers.
What does this mean for XAG owners and customers today?
You can still fly. You can still service your equipment. And previously authorized XAG models currently available in the U.S. can still be purchased and sold.
The recent FCC changes are focused on new foreign-produced drone models and components going forward, they do not ground the XAG equipment farmers and applicators are already using or automatically prohibit the sale of previously authorized models.
